- קֶפֶלm. (קפַל I) surrounding, guard (cmp. קוּפְלָיוֹת); pr. n. pl. Ḳefel. B. Bath.75b (the Lord shall add to Jerusalem) אלף ק׳וכ׳ one thousand times the area of Ḳefel for towers; Yalk. Zech. 568; (for Var. lect., v. Rabb. D. S. to B. Bath. l. c., note 40; comment. take קפ״ל as numerals = 210).
